Abstract

These Regulations provide for protection of Elasmobranch sharks in the Breede River, by prohibiting fishing for such sharks (other than for scientific purposes with a permit) and requires all sharks caught as bycatch to be released to its waters alive. The Regulations also prescribe penalties for the offence of illegal catch of such sharks.
