Abstract

The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to liquid effluents of petroleum. Section 2 establishes that every application for a certificate of authorization submitted to the Minister for the construction of a new petroleum refinery must be accompanied by a complete study of the overall impact that the carrying out of the project will have on the environment. This study must deal with all aspects of the environment. The text consists of 24 sections divided into 4 Parts as follows: Interpretation (I); Certificate of authorization and study of impact on the environment (II); Standards relating to liquid effluents (III); Supervision and testing (IV). One Schedule is enclosed.
