Abstract

The present Regulation implements the Environment Quality Act (R.S.Q., c. Q-2, s. 31.0.1). In particular, the Regulation determines the conditions or prohibitions applicable to the layout, extension and operation of sites used in whole or in part for the burial of contaminated soils as well as the conditions applicable to their closure and their post-closure follow-up. The text consists of 70 sections divided into 6 chapters as follows: Scope (I); Contaminated soil burial sites (II); Security (III); Certificate of authorization (IV); Penal (V); Miscellaneous provisions (VI). Two Schedules are enclosed.
