This Regulation enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Regulation, in order to prevent the introduction of avian influenza on the Croatian territory, prohibits the importation and transit from Tulcea region, Romania of: a) live poultry, ratites (kiwi, emu, ostrich and nandu), farmed and wild feathered game, including birds accompanying their owners (pet birds); b) day-old chicks; c) hatching and table eggs; d) seeds of poultry, ratites and wild fowl; e) fresh and frozen meat of poultry, ratites and wild fowl; f) products of poultry, ratites and wild fowl, which are not processed in a manner that would certainly destroy the avian influenza virus; g) products of animal origin (from birds) intended for animal feed, industrial use or for use in agriculture; h) untreated hunting trophies from any birds and untreated feathers or parts of feathers.
