Abstract This Regulation states the following: Geomorphological phenomenon, the Prerast tunnel cave in the Zamna canyon located in eastern Serbia, on the eastern side of Deli Jovan, on the Zamna river, is protected as a natural monument "Prerast tunnel cave in the Zamna canyon", and is classified in category I as protected area of international, national or exceptional importance. Zamne Gorge is a refugial habitat of a large number of animal and plant species with preserved vegetation, which is an extremely important area of biological diversity that deserves protection. The pronounced heterogeneity and richness of flora and vegetation of gorges and canyons are the result of drastic variability of ecological factors in a small area, development in conditions of refuges, but also relative physical isolation. The authenticity of the vegetation of gorges and canyons is reflected not only in the diversity, but also in the preservation of the specific structure and the qualitative and quantitative relationship of the cenobionates of phytocenoses. In the area of the Zamna river canyon, 37 species of diurnal butterfly fauna have been recorded, two of which are on the European red list: Parnassius mnemosyne and Lycaena dispar.as well as five species that are considered endangered in the Carpathian area: Brenthis daphne, Lycaena dispar, Neptis sappho, Parnassius mnemosyne and Meleageria daphnis. Also, about 60 species of nesting birds have been identified in this area, of which 20 are on the list of strictly protected and protected species. The mammal fauna of the Zamna River canyon consists of a total of 37 species classified into five taxonomic categories of order levels. In the area of the Natural Monument "Tunnel Cave Prerast in the Zamna Canyon", the protection regime of the II degree is determined. This text further determines several protection and management measures, all aimed at preserving the above mentioned nature site located non the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
