Abstract This Regulation sets forth ethical standards regarding methods and materials used for scientific research, tests and education done on experimental animals. The Regulation also provides for the establishment of Central and Local Ethics Committees of Experiments on Animals and for working procedures. The Regulation further regulates procedures of evaluation and permits of applications. It also sets forth rules and procedures for monitoring, controlling and recording experiments done on animals. It is stated that the Committees may give public information about the experiments on animals without prejudice, shall not violate intellectual property rights and shall not reveal confidential information. This Regulation has been drafted in accordance with Directive 2010/63/EC Of The European Parliament And Of The Council on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes.
