Abstract This Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 19 articles and four Annexes, specifies the types of remedial actions and the manner of selecting the most appropriate measures to remedy environmental damage to protected species, their habitats, basins or soil for the implementation of Annex II of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2004/35/EC of 21 April 2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on environmental liability with regard to the prevention and remedying of environmental damage. The implementation of measures to remedy environmental damage is to restore the damaged environment or specific parts of their functions in the baseline condition, or to replace the temporary loss of specific parts of the environment or their functions before recovery to baseline condition.
