This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, but it will start with its effective application on 1 November 2017.
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the conditions regarding the quality of sugar intended for human consumption, also sets the terms for its classification, categorization and product name assignation; further defining physical, physical-chemical, chemical and sensory properties, as well as the composition, methods of testing over the quality, additional packaging and labelling requirements.
