This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes all necessary conditions and standards for the protection of animals (direct animal welfare measures) bred and kept for the production of meat, skin, fur and/or other products, during their travel, accommodation, restraint, stunning, slaughter and killing, including killing of animals for the purpose of disease control.
