Abstract This Regulation hereby defines the contents of the National Plan for monitoring over water and shellfish quality at production areas (live bivalve mollusks) and related to the: a) checking over the microbiological quality; b) checking of the possible presence of toxic plankton and potentially toxic plankton in waters, and biotoxins in live bivalve-molluscs; c) checking over the possible presence of chemical contaminants; d) undertaking preliminary analysis of specific new production areas.
