Abstract This Regulation implements the EU Regulation on reducing the impact of certain plastic products on the environment. This Regulation regulates the nature of certain single-use plastic beverage containers and the labeling of certain single-use plastic products on the product itself or on the associated packaging. A single-use plastic is a product made entirely or partly of plastic that is not designed, developed and placed on the market to undergo multiple product cycles during its lifetime. The Regulation provides for specific regulation on beverage containers for special medical purposes, containers made of glass or metal and containers whose closures or lids contain plastic seals. The Regulation consists of 6 Articles as follow: Scope (1); Definitions (2); Requirements for the quality of certain single-use plastic beverage containers (3); Labeling obligation (4); Administrative offences (5); Entry into force (6).
