Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the method for determining plant protection-sanitary protected zones; sets out necessary conditions for carrying out systematic reviews of declared protected zones; and provides for the lists of protected zones. Protected zones are determined through an examination aimed to determine the presence of harmful organisms in a specific area. This text also complies with the provisions of Commission Directive 92/70/EEC of 30 July 1992 laying down detailed rules for surveys to be carried out for purposes of the recognition of protected zones in the Community.
