Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waste management, prescribes the manner and conditions of operation of the integrated waste disposal network. The integrated waste disposal network is a system of facilities and installations for waste management that are functionally interconnected. The functioning of the integrated network on the entire national territory shall be ensured through the following functional units: primary waste collection system; transfer stations and transfer bunkers; secondary transport systems; landfills. When establishing the integrated network, in order to determine the necessary organizational and technical requirements necessary for full coverage of a specified served area with appropriate services, the following is taken into account: which settlements and which waste generators will be served; number of inhabitants and population density; average annual quantities of waste generation; spatial-geographical layout of waste generators in the given area; conditions of the road network that connects related facilities and areas; types of primary waste collection; technical options that correspond to that specific geographical area.
