Abstract This Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 16 articles and one Annex, establishes provisions concerning interim water management plan which determines the obligatory starting point for the implementation of specific tasks in water management and preparation of detailed plans of water management. The interim plan is considered in the in the field of water management in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of the environment. The objectives of the interim plan are designed to ensure the implementation of tasks for the transition to a new system of planning and implementation of water management in the Danube river basin and water in the Adriatic Sea.
