Abstract This Regulation prescribes the implementation of support within measure I.10. "Permanent cessation of fishing activities" within the framework of Priority 1 of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund "Encouragement of sustainable fisheries and restoration and preservation of biological resources" within the framework of the implementation of the Program for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Republic of Croatia for the program period 2021-2027, and in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2021/1139. The subject of support is compensation to the owner of the fishing vessel, which includes one-time non-refundable funds for the permanent cessation of fishing activities. Eligibility conditions are listed in article 4. The permanent cessation of fishing activities is carried out for the segments of commercial fishing at sea covered by the valid Action Plan from article 22 (paragraph 2) of Regulation (EU) no. 1380/2013, which is published as part of the Competition. A permanent cessation of fishing activity can only be achieved: a) by destroying a fishing vessel; b) conversion of the fishing vessel to other activities outside of commercial fishing.
