Abstract This Regulation lays down the principles and principles to identify water bodies sensitive to nutrients and urban and nitrate sensitive areas affecting these bodies, and to determine the necessary measures to improve water quality in sensitive water bodies. According to Article 4 in the determination of sensitive water bodies, it is essential to: (I) delineate river, lake and coastal waters by taking into account the water body determination criteria set out in Annex-1 and all pressure factors, (II) detect factors affecting water bodies, such as urban and industrial activities, agriculture, non-agricultural land use and animal husbandry activities, and hydromorphological pressure elements and pollutant loads, (III) perform physicochemical parameters, biological quality components and hydromorphological quality components monitoring studies in order to reveal the current status of water bodies, and (IV) evaluate the interaction between pressure elements, pollution loads, monitoring results and water bodies together. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry shall prepare the monitoring program to determine all issues regarding the monitoring to be carried out in sensitive coastal water bodies, and the monitoring of physicochemical and biological quality components in these water bodies shall be carried out by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Climate Change.
