This Regulation enters into force on the day it is published in the Official Journal.
Abstract

This Regulation aims to establish a National Legume Council composed of traders, industries, associations, cooperatives, research and educational institutes concerned with legumes and legume products. The Regulation sets forth the principles and procedures of establishment, operation, management, functions, authority, control and financing of the National Legume Council. The Regulation states that within the framework of production and industrial activities in the agricultural sector, the Council works through taking measures for protection of environment, public health and producers’ and consumers’ rights and ensuring rural development.
