Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette and it will be fully applied from 1 November 2005.
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the complete procedure for registration of designations of origin and geographical indications for foodstuffs, the information contained in the application for registration and product specifications, content, form and manner of keeping the related register, the procedure for entering and deleting users from the list of users registered in the register of designations of origin and geographical origin of food products, the system of supervision and monitoring, the conditions that be met by legal entities carrying out conformity assessment procedures, and other important issues.
