Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the national Law on waste management, prescribes the conditions that landfills must meet in order to prevent and reduce the harmful effects of waste and landfills on environment, life and health of people, and especially in relation to: location, control of incoming water in the landfill, leachate control, protection of soil and water from pollution, control of landfill gas, reduction of hazards arising from the landfill, stability of landfill waste and physical security of the landfill.
