This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, and it will fully apply after 1 January 2011.
Abstract

This Regulation provides the conditions to be met by farms and necessary requirements (inspection, data collection, monitoring, local government duties, farm technical conditions) for the protection of animals on farms, also by determining the following: conditions to be met by the farm with ungulates (more than 20 livestock units), also poultry and rabbits (with more than 10 livestock units); conditions for the protection of animals bred and/or held on farms; farm registration process; content, form and manner of keeping the farm register.
