Abstract The Regulation determines the requirements to the construction and exploitation of landfills for landfilling of wastes. The Regulation is divided into 7 Chapters, Additional Provisions and Conclusion Provisions and 3 Annexes. Chapter 1 deals with the general requirements. Chapter 2 sets the general requirements for construction of landfills. Chapter 3 sets the specific requirements for construction of landfills. Chapter 4 sets the requirements for exploitation of landfills. This Chapter is divided into 3 sections. Section 1 sets the general requirements; Section 2 deals with the fire protection; Section 3 deals with the safety and healthy labour conditions. Chapter 5 sets the requirements to the training of the personnel. Chapter 6 sets the conditions for closure of landfills. Chapter 7 deals with the landfills in operation before the adoption of this Regulation. The definitions are enlisted in the Additional Provisions. Annex 1 deals with the control activities.
