Abstract

This Regulation determines the conditions and method of breeding mature free-living native fish species for further cultivation, by specifying the general conditions for carrying out fish breeding, the method of catching, among other related issues. Skimming of certain types of breeding stock in an individual fishing district may only be carried out by a fisheries management contractor. The fishery management contractor must notify the competent Regional Office of the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia about the breeding of broodstock (group of mature individuals used in aquaculture for breeding purposes).
