Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of four articles, specifies: roads, railroads and airports exploitation of which may cause negative acoustic impact on significant areas, for which it is obligatory to prepare acoustic maps; conditions of rating roads, railroads and airports among objects exploitation of which may have negative impact on the environment; ways of determining borders of areas for which acoustic maps have to be prepared. On the day of the publication of the Regulation, objects which may have negative acoustic impact on the environment are: roads used by more than 6 000 000 vehicles per year, railroads used by more than 60 000 trains per year, civil airports with more than 50 000 operations (take-offs and landings) per year.
