Abstract This Regulation prescribes the new hygiene principles to protect consumers through the food chain, including feed safety and health requirements for animals that are producing food (food-producing animals), the implementation of the following principles: a) responsibility for the safety of the feed business; b) safety of feed should be provided throughout the entire food chain from primary production of feed up to and feeding the animals that produce food; c) applying the basic principles of risk analysis and critical control points - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the application of good manufacturing practice will enable operators to attain a higher degree of safety and responsibility for the safety of animal feed.
