This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the new hygiene principles to protect consumers through the food chain, including feed safety and health requirements for animals that are producing food (food-producing animals), the implementation of the following principles: a) responsibility for the safety of the feed business; b) safety of feed should be provided throughout the entire food chain from primary production of feed up to and feeding the animals that produce food; c) applying the basic principles of risk analysis and critical control points - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the application of good manufacturing practice will enable operators to attain a higher degree of safety and responsibility for the safety of animal feed.
