Abstract

The FDA is empowered in Regulation 23 to prescribe and impose new fees for the forestry industry for purposes of generating financial means for renewed forest plantation efforts and measures for the development and conservation of forest resources. Reforestation fees, conservation fees on specified tree species and forestry research fees are hereby reduced so a to ensure a minimum of profit by timber-logging concessionaires in current market conditions.
