Abstract This Regulation sets out rules aimed at governing the functions, necessary activities and organization of the functional work of the Republic of Bulgaria Shumen Plateau Nature Park Directorate (protected state nature park). The Directorate shall assists the designated state authorities in the process of the implementation of state policies in the field of protection, sustainable use and restoration of forests, biological and landscape diversity, as well as in the implementation of the European Community policy and the international commitments made on its territorial area. The Directorate shall carry out coordination, methodological guidance and control over the effective implementation of forest legislation and environmental protection within its territorial scope of activity. General functions and tasks are listed in chapter Two; organization of the directorate's work is determined in Chapter Three; financing is defined in Chapter Four.
