Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning, which is composed of eight articles, sets out the content and scope of the program for monitoring the effects of products containing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and placed on the market, and monitoring of their use. This Regulation lays down also the manner and extent of reporting on results of monitoring these effects. The objective of the monitoring program is to confirm the accuracy of forecasts identified in the risk of occurrence and impact of potential adverse effects of GMOs or their use, and to identify and determine the incidence of any adverse effects of GMOs or their use on human health and the environment. Monitoring of the product containing GMOs should be started after the authorization for placing a product containing GMOs on the market. The report on results of monitoring should be forwarded to the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning.
