Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of four articles, lays down, in accordance with European Union legislation, measures in relation to the risks posed by highly pathogenic avian influenza. Tasks performed by the Chief Veterinary Officer are specified in art. 2, and tasks performed by the district veterinarian or voivodship veterinarian in art. 3. If a highly pathogenic avian influenza virus is found in samples taken from wild birds or their excrement, the district veterinarian may determine the area with additional temporary measures.
