Abstract

This Regulation prescribes provisions aimed at ensuring a high level of protection of human health and consumer interests in terms of placing on the market of materials and objects that come into contact with water intended for human consumption. The Regulation defines: parameters of health suitability (minimum health and hygiene requirements) of materials from which objects/products are made, which come into contact with water intended for human consumption by use in the capture, processing, storage or distribution of water intended for human consumption, in the domestic water supply network in new or existing installations in case of repair or reconstruction; health parameters (minimum health and hygiene requirements) of items that come into contact with water intended for human consumption, and are made of materials specified in article 3 (paragraph 1, point c of this text); criteria for testing parameters depending on the types of materials and objects made of these materials that come into contact with water for human consumption; official monitoring control plans for materials and objects that come into contact with water intended for human consumption.
