When preparing forest management activities, the forest owner or a person designated by him: (1) when planning forest management activities, take into account the need to maintain the diversity of development stages of forest stands in the forest; (2) review the available data to verify the presence of the species listed in Annex IV of Council Directive 92/43/EEC and the species of birds to be protected or their potential locations in the forest where the activities will be carried out; (3) carry out a site visit in the forest where these operations will be carried out in order to check the presence of species listed in Annex IV of Council Directive 92/43/EEC and protected bird species or potential places of their occurrence; (4) mark hollow trees, trees with bird nests with a diameter of more than 25 cm and other perennial nests.
