Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the national Law on waste management, prescribes the general rules for dealing with municipal and other types of non-hazardous waste. The purpose of this text is to reduce waste and make possible re-utilization of usable components of waste as well as fulfillment of obligations for selecting, exporting, import, collecting as well as transporting and handing of waste. Waste handling services should be equally accessible to all users with the same quality, efficiency and transparency. Municipal waste is household waste, public and traffic waste, as well as any other waste from commercial, industrial, craft, service, administrative and similar activities, which by its nature or by its composition is similar to household waste.
