Abstract This Regulation sets out the conditions for the composition and necessary labelling of foodstuffs intended for use in human energy-restricted diets for weight loss purposes. The foods object of this text are foods used as a substitute for all daily food rations; foods used as a substitute for one or more daily meals. The marking, advertising and presentation of the products shall not indicate the degree or amount of weight lost as a result of their use (article 6).
