Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waste management, prescribes the manner of approval of export, import and transit of waste, types of waste in accordance with the waste control regime (yellow and green list), the form and content of written notification forms and general information and the manner of handling such waste, the manner of determining and the manner of activating and calculating the necessary bank guarantee (appropriate insurance), and sets the form and content and manner of issuance of waste processing permit in engaged waste processing plant or facility. According to the impact that certain waste has on the environment and human health, the waste that is intended for import, export and transit is classified according to the following control regime: 1. waste determined in Annex IV of this Regulation and which is distributed as waste from the so-called "green list"; 2. waste determined in Annex V which is distributed as waste, the so-called "yellow list"; 3. hazardous waste as defined in the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Waste and its Storage (which may be classified as so-called "yellow list" waste).
