This Regulation enters into force on the day it is published in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Regulation lays down rules for dredging activities on the sea side of the coastal edge line of the sea and coastal areas and river mouths, establishment of standards for dredging materials resulting from these activities, determination of the criteria of the marine areas where these materials may be discharged, discharge methods and disposal and utilization possibilities, permissions to be obtained, and monitoring the impacts of these activities on the marine environment and reporting to the Administration. Dredging activities shall be carried out in an environmentally sustainable manner, with an emphasis on conservation of the marine environment, biodiversity conservation, protected areas, and protection of freshwater resources.
