Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the national Law on waste management, prescribes the emission limit values for certain substances in the air during the combustion or incineration of waste, limit values for emission of wastewater from waste gas treatment, techniques, methods and dynamics for measuring and monitoring the emissions of substances in the air and water that are created when burning or incinerating waste, as well as the manner and timelines for achieving emission limit values for air and water substances, and the conditions and manner of operation of waste incineration or incineration installations, including related minimum technical rules and equipment for burning or incineration of waste, as well as procedures for receipt or delivery of waste. These provisions are intended to prevent or limit as much as far as possible, adverse environmental impacts from waste incineration, especially air pollution, soil pollution, surface and groundwater pollution, as well as risks to human health that arise as a result of incineration of waste.
