Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of 14 articles, lays down specific measures to fights against and prevent the spread of the pine wood nematode (PWN), including: (a) the method of fighting against and preventing the spread of PWN; (b) methods of detection and identification of PWN; (c) the method of determining areas where measures should be applied in order to control or prevent the spread of PWN; (d) the conditions of movement of plants, plant products or other objects; (e) the manner of treatment of plants, plant products or other objects in case the above conditions can not be met.
