Abstract

This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the Law on livestock (Republic of Srpska), determines the necessary food quality issues regarding chicken eggs that are placed on the market in the Republika Srpska, which are from domestic production or from imports. This text sets rules in terms of names, general conditions, collection, classification, labelling and packaging of eggs, as well as record keeping and quality control. The provisions of this Regulation do not apply to chicken eggs when the food business entity has up to 50 laying hens in its production, and sells directly to the final consumer at the place of production or at the local public markets.
