Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Montenegrin Law on food safety, prescribes the conditions for import and export of food and feed, in order to monitor the level of radioactivity due to the nuclear incident in Chernobyl power plant. This text shall apply to food and feed determined by a special regulation which sets the maximum permitted quantities of radioactive contamination, either originating or transiting from countries listed in Annex 1. Provisions of the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1158 of 5 August 2020 on the conditions governing imports of food and feed originating in third countries following the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power station are here transposed.
