The Regulation enters into force after six months following its promulgation date in the Official Journal.
Abstract

This Regulation covers importation and transit passage of plants, vegetables and other materials. Importation of all kinds of soil, plants, herbs, natural fertilizer, leaves, and hay that are indicated in Annex II of this Regulation is prohibited. Those items that arrive at customs together with livestock will be destroyed at the entry point. Special measures will be taken on importation of plants indicated in Annex IV. Prohibited plants and organisms could be imported only for research purposes and by written consent of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Transit procedures are given in details.
