The Decree however specifies that the amendments apply only to Dutch fishing vessels and vessels operating in the European part of the inner waters and territorial waters of the Netherlands or those vessels that land their catch in a Dutch port. The amendments concern implementation of obligations regarding the installation of Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) on vessels.
