Abstract

This Ministerial Regulation, implementing article 73 of the Government Regulation no. 6 of 2007 concerning Forest Administration and preparation of Forest Management and Utilisation Plans, in its last amended version, provides for the rearrangement of the periodic comprehensive forestry inventory and work Plan on business permits to utilise timber forest products in natural forests, in order to increase competitiveness and improve forestry governance and reduce high cost of economy. The Regulation concerns: comprehensive forest inventory; business permit and business work Plan for utilisation of timber forest products; long term forest management Plan; timber cruising, as the activity of measuring, observing and recording trees, which are planned to be felled. Matters covered by the Regulation include: periodic whole forest inventory; drafting, assessment and approval of the work Plan; utilisation of timber and non-timber forest products; promotion of ecotourism; protecting forests measures; monitoring and control activity; offences and penalties.
