Abstract The purpose of this Regulation is to reduce the risk of genetic influence from aquaculture on wild stocks of salmon. In order to fullfill this aim, a joint responsibility entity (Samanslutninga) shall regulate the provisions herein for the planning and coverage of expenses in the implementation of measures reducing the incidence of escaped farmed fish of the species of salmon, trout and rainbow trout in rivers which have a high concentration of unacceptable amount of escaped fish. The Samanslutninga shall meet every four years and before 30 June with at least three weeks' written notice.
