Abstract The present Regulation, adopted by the Ministry of Environment, lays down rules on the protection of specific types of nature. It covers lakes, marshes, and similar areas, heaths, coastal meadows, and coastal marshes, as well as fresh meadows and biological grasslands, and establishes exceptions to the application of the Nature Conservation Act to those areas. It also covers the introduction of fish, crayfish, and mollusks in lakes and watercourses, specifically in: 1. Artificial bodies of water that are not part of or substitute for a natural watercourse system; and 2. Closed waters under individual ownership.
