Abstract

This Regulation proclaims the Divjake – Karavasta Natural Ecosystem to be a protected area and defines its borders and zoning. The area consists of four zones: (i) the central zone, which has natural and biodiversity values; (ii) the zone of sustainable use, where licenced economic activities are allowed to take place; (iii) the recreational zone, which offers recreation possibilities and facilities and includes forests, pastures, meadows and agricultural lands; and (iv) the zone of traditional use. The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Waters Administration is responsible for preparing the protected area management plans and revising the licences issued for economical and social activities.
