Abstract Regulation 661 of 2018 expands the area of 'Lura' National Park and merges it with the 'Zall-Gjocaj' National Park to establish the 'Lure-Mali i Dejes' National Park with a total area of 20242,78 ha in accordance with the map and the borders presented in the addenda 1 and 2 of this Regulation. Further, a breakdown of forests, pasture, and plant areas in also submitted. The 'Lure-Mali i Dejes' National Park is divided into three conservation and administration sub-zones as follows: a) Main Subzone that includes the main habitats of forests and shrubs that represent hight values for natural and biodiversity heritage. Scientific research and eco-tourist activities are the only activities allowed in this subzone; b) The Subzone of Traditional Usage and Sustainable Development that includes areas where traditional activities such as agriculture, grazing, medicinal plants collecting may take place. Activities that may impact the ecosystem natural state such as construction are not allowed. c) Recreational Subzone that includes the forestry and water habitats established by the dam. A third degree protection is allowed in this zone that permits only low-impact and controlled touristic activities.
