Abstract

The present Act lays down rules on notifiable and reportable animal diseases. Section I covers notifiable diseases; it contains a list of Serious Notifiable Diseases (Article 2) and Other Notifiable Diseases (Article 3), which shall be notified immediately to the Food and Veterinary Authority once detected. Section II covers reportable diseases; it contains a list of reportable diseases, which, when suspected in animals, requires veterinarians to arrange for further testings and report the matter to the extent it is necessary. The lists of diseases are classified according to different animals species.
