Abstract

This Regulation applies to foreign fishing vessels (measuring minimum 15 feet). Those that land fish in Norwegian ports or fish in the Norwegian territorial waters shall be equipped with an automatic identification system (AIS) Class A which meet performance standards approved by the International Maritime Organization. Implementation of these Regulations for vessels built earlier than 30 April 2012 shall be set as follows: vessels between 24 and 45 meters on 31 november 2012; between 18 and 24 meters on 31 May 2013; and between 15 and 18 meters of lenght on 31 May 2014.
