Abstract The present Regulation, adopted by the Norwegian Fisheries Directorate, applies to fishing in international waters in the NAFO area, as defined in article 1. It establishes a fishing ban in the NAFO area, as well as the total allowable catch for the sub-area 3M (identified in article 1). Fishing in the sub-area 3M requires registration and fishing authorization. Further rules regulate individual vessel quotas, seasons, and the mandatory use of observers on board fishing vessels.
