Abstract The present Regulation, adopted by the Norwegian Fisheries Directorate, authorizes conventional deep-sea fishing vessels to fish and land up to 500 tonnes of cusk, ling and blue ling in Iceland's economic zone south of 64° N outside of 12 nautical miles from the baseline. Only two vessels can take part in fishing in the said area. Further rules regulate bycatch, individual vessel quota, and registration and fishing authorization.
