It applies to people who have contact with live pigs or live in buildings or areas where pigs are kept. Such persons shall be obliged to wear protective clothing/equipment in circumstances specified by this Regulation until a negative test has been obtained. Documentation must be submitted to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority on request. The obligation to use protective equipment in section 4 is triggered if he or she has during the past 12 months: a. had contact with an animal that this knew was positive for antibiotic resistant bacteria or later received knowledge that the animal was positive during contact b. visited or worked in livestock herd abroad c. been admitted to a health institution, received dental treatment or underwent a comprehensive health examination, i abroad d. work as a health worker abroad e. Stayed in an orphanage or refugee camp abroad f. stayed abroad for more than six consecutive weeks, or g. tested positive for antibiotic resistant bacteria.
